Research Interests

My research interests are Conversational Retrieval Systems, Interactive Information Retrieval (IIR), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I am a mixed-methods researcher and specialize in applications of Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to solve problems in Information Retrieval (IR). I extensively use Experimental Design (both qualitative and quantitative) to assess Human Information Behavior and preferences while searching online. My current research focus on conversational search systems and AI-regulated protection of Personal Identifiable Information (PII).

Application areas: Conversational Information Retrieval, Human-Computer Interaction, Social Media Analytics, Data Science for Social Good, Applied Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing.
